Welcome to Richland Center High School:

 

RCHS consists of grades 9-12 and enrolls approximately 400 students. The administrative staff consists of Mr. Jon Bosworth, Principal and Mr. Caleb Hundt, Assistant Principal/Activities Director. Mrs. Roseanne Knower and Mrs. Melody Wiinamaki head the Guidance Department. The faculty and support staff at RCHS is 50 strong and dedicated to giving kids a great education and school.

 

Richland Center High School operates on a two semester schedule with an 8 period day plus an additional 9th period homeroom. Students must achieve 26 credits to qualify for graduation including 4 credits of English, 3 credits of Math, Science and Social Studies, 1.5 credits of Physical Education and 0.5 credits of Health. Grades are calculated on a 4.0 scale.

 

RCHS offers courses in the following departments:  Agriculture, Business, Computers, English, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Science, Special Education and Technical Education.   RCHS is fully certified in the Project Lead the Way Pathway to Engineering curriculum, offers nine advanced placement courses by our faculty, and has many dual credit options with the local college and technical college.

 

 RCHS students are encouraged to become involved in the many co-curricular programs available.

Doudna Elementary School

Welcome to Doudna Elementary's web page.  I'm honored and proud to be the Principal of Doudna!  We have about 370 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

 

We offer services in Title 1 reading and math as well as special education including speech/language.  All of our student receive instruction every week in music, physical education, art, and library media.

 

Our facility features a full size gymnasium, library with story pit, and two computer labs.  Every classroom is equipped with a SMARTboard and multiple handheld devices connected to our building's wifi.  Our outdoor area is filled with plenty of green space including a nature area and trail, school garden, and gazebo.

 

There is plenty to be proud of at Doudna!  In 2012 we were recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School!  Most importantly, we have a caring staff, an involved group of parents, and students working hard each day.

Jefferson Elementary School

Jefferson Elementary welcomes, educates, nurtures, and instills the value of self-worth to 165 students each day.

The dynamic staff teaches daily skills and a love of learning to students grades First through Fifth. Jefferson is a school committed to forging partnerships among teachers, parents, administrators and other school staff members, and the community to create an educational environment that supports children’s learning.

 

Our community based school, located in the center of Richland Center, started the 2013-2014, 2012-2013 and 2011-2012 academic years receiving honors for their efforts and success in educating students. The recent award provided Jefferson the opportunity to apply and be awarded grant funding to support the professional learning of Lucy Calkins~ Writing Workshop.

Lincoln Elementary School

Welcome to Lincoln School!!

 

I would like to welcome you to Lincoln Elementary School! At Lincoln School we strive to provide our students and families with a warm, safe, welcoming environment that not only builds a strong base of early academic skills, but also helps to instill a sense of community in the youngest learners of the Richland School District.

 

Lincoln School is an early learning center for students participating in Early Childhood, Four-year-old Kindergarten and Five-year-old Kindergarten.  Our Early Childhood program meets four half days a week either Monday-Thursday A.M. or Monday-Thursday P.M.  Our Four-year-old Kindergarten program is a full day program and students attend Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.  Our Five-year-old Kindergarten meets five full days a week, Monday-Friday.

 

We have excellent teachers and support staff that are dedicated to helping all students achieve to their highest potential both personally and academically.  As a staff we take a team approach to educating the children who attend our school and highly encourage parents to volunteer in our school and be active in their child’s education.  Our entire staff believes very strongly that Early Childhood, 4K and 5K provides the academic and overall readiness foundations that students need for future school success.
