9th Grade Physical Education

This course is a co-educational course, designed to introduce freshman students to the high school physical education curriculum. This includes physical fitness conditioning and testing, a basic knowledge of team sports (basketball, softball, soccer, volleyball) to include all rules relative to the high school game. This course will also introduce students to weight training and recreational indoor games (pickle ball, badminton, table tennis).

 

10th Grade Physical Education

This course is a co-educational course, designed to advance students in their knowledge of basic physical education concepts. Physical fitness conditioning, testing and weight training will be designed for each individual student’s wants/needs. Advanced team sport concepts will be discussed and students will be expected to learn and understand these concepts. Individual sports will also be progressed to include doubles play.

11th Grade Physical Education & 12th Grade Physical Education

This course is designed to allow students the choice of various individual and dual sports, wellness activities, and selected team sports. It is hoped that students will discover activities that they enjoy and can continue to participate in them for their lifetime. Students will need to choose 2 quarter courses in order to fulfill their requirements.
