Grade 7

Seventh grade band is designed to continue the musical development of the students.  A variety of musical literature will be performed to increase the students' enjoyment, appreciation, and understanding of music.  Students are required to participate in all parades, concerts, festivals, and band lessons.  Each student will have either two or three days of full band each week.   Lessons are scheduled once a week during a study hall to develop proficiency on the instrument or to get help learning the parade, concert, and contest music.  Home practice time totaling 60-120 minutes per week will also be recommended. 

In addition to 7th grade band program, there are a Jazz Ensemble, Solo & Ensemble Contest, and summer band lessons available.  Students should see the band director for more information about any of these activities.
