White fluffy clouds floating by. I’m sure
you’ve seen clouds before. You probably thought that they were all the same
kind but really there are many different kinds of clouds. On this web page
you will learn the types of clouds and many other interesting facts about
clouds! Clouds move with the wind currents and high winds. High cirrus clouds move very fast. High cirrus clouds can move up to 100 mph. Thunderstorms almost always move up to 30to 40mph. Some thunderstorms can fast as 60 mph. Clouds mostly form
when the air rises. It then expands and gets colder, the cold air can’t hold
as much water as some of the warm air can. When the temperature and air
pressure drops quickly, water droplets group together into clumps. The air
then becomes a visible cloud. Sometimes the cloud will form water droplets by
clumping together even more. It will then fall from the sky in the form of
snow or rain. The types of
clouds are Cumulus, Stratus, Cirrrus, Nimbus Heap, Layer, Culr Of hair, Rain
Fair weather Cumulus, Altostratus, and Comulonimbus. The weight of clouds is measured by the
droplets, or ice crystals. All the percipatation at comes out of clouds is
weighed in grams per cubic meters of air and aircrafts have measured the
water content of all the kinds of clouds. The Percipatation
that comes out of clouds is, sleet, hail, rain, and snow. Sleet is melted
ice. Hail is small bits ice.Rain is
water vapor from dust partickles in the sky.Snow is frozen water vapor. |
