How much do you know about hurricanes? You probably know something about them right. We are going tell you how fast they go and how they are formed. There is much to learn.

Hurricanes form by gathering heat and energy through contact with warm ocean waters. Evaporation from seawater increases their power. However, hurricanes form more slowly and last longer then tornados.

Hurricanes can do a lot of damage. If you don’t believe me you can see for yourself. The pictures to your right show… They can do even more damage so you don’t want to be caught in one.

Hurricanes can reach over 200 mph. and go counter clock wise around the “eye”. Hurricanes last longer then tornados, but take longer to form then tornados.

They usually show up in tropical areas. Hurricanes also are very violent. Hurricanes can be scary if they hit you or your house. Hurricanes are very strong. You never want a Hurricane by your town because it could kill some of your family members. Hurricanes can damage a lot of your stuff like big brick buildings. Some people are lucky that they lived through a

Hurricane.

So you are lucky if you live in Wisconsin because hurricanes only come up in tropical areas, but if you live in Texas you should be worried because you get a hurricane and a tornado.
