Launching in the 2025–2026 school year, H.I.V.E. (Home-based, Instructor-facilitated Virtual Education) is Richland School District’s innovative virtual learning program designed to meet the needs of all online learners—including homeschool families.
With a wide selection of vetted curriculum options—and a streamlined process for reviewing and approving new ones—families can choose the path that best fits their child’s learning style. Supported by two full-time, certified teachers, H.I.V.E. offers both flexibility and personalized guidance, making it a major step forward in how we support students beyond the traditional classroom.
