Screening is a wonderful way to see the classrooms, meet the teachers, and get a better understanding of your child's developmental progress. Register for the 2024 EC/4K Screening here. Your child will receive a FREE goodie bag!

We welcome students of all backgrounds and experiences to open-enroll into the Richland School District. 

• If you are enrolling for the '24-'25 school year PRIOR to April 27, 2024, you can open-enroll online here. For more information about Open Enrollment or for PDF forms, check here.
• If you are enrolling for the current school year or for the '24-'25 school year AFTER April 27, 2024, you can use the Alternative Open Enrollment process. Please see the forms (in English and Spanish)and additional information below here.

Forms should be completed online or submitted to the District Office in-person (west end of Richland Center High School under the black awning) or via email to our Administrative Assistants (contact information available at the bottom of the registration page).

Whether you have just moved to the Richland School District or are coming from private/homeschooling, we are excited to welcome you into the HIVE! The Richland School District has many unique offerings, including over 20 student organizations, a robust Visual and Performing Arts program, hands-on and outdoor learning opportunities, and caring teachers and staff. You can register in the Richland School District by completing the following paperwork and submitting it to the office of the building your child will attend:

• Registration forms in English
• Registration forms in Spanish

Our buildings are: 

• Richland Center Primary School (Early Childhood through Grade 2)
• Richland Center Intermediate School (Grades 3 through 6)
• Richland Center High School (Grades 7 through 12)

Once we complete this registration process, we will work with you to complete the rest of the enrollment process, including arranging your student’s schedule (if in grades 7-12), setting up lunch accounts, etc. via our student management system, Skyward Family Access. 

While we encourage all students to attend school in-building when possible, we understand that traditional education is not the right fit for all students. For more information on Richland Online Academy, RSD’s virtual school, or PARTNER, RSD’s Project-based charter school, please visit each program’s school page. All charter school students attending these programs will need to complete the registration processes listed above. 

Students who are 3 years old may attend the Richland School District if they qualify for additional support in Speech, Language, or Special Education. Our Early Childhood program runs daily Monday through Thursday (½ day mornings or afternoons). Transportation is provided. Students who qualify for Early Childhood programming may start mid-year (when they turn 3). EC programming is sometimes combined with part-time attendance in 4K for students who have turned 4 years old but would benefit from the additional support.

4K students attending Richland Center Primary School attend full school days two days per week (either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday). 5K students attend five days per week for the full school day.

We have many resources for students or families who are experiencing homelessness, including fee assistance, gas cards, food and clothing resources, and more. Students experiencing homelessness also qualify for transportation to/from school even if they currently reside outside of the District.
