What is Hive Mind?
As a public school District, we know that our schools are strongest when they reflect the experiences and perspectives of the community they serve. Through our Hive Mind events, we’re inviting community members from all backgrounds to simply join the conversation—no preparation or prior involvement needed.
Sunday, April 26 | 4:00–6:00 PM
Wednesday, April 29 | 6:00–8:00 PM
These gatherings are designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and conversation-based. There’s no need to come with ideas or solutions—just your experiences and perspective. Whether you’re a current RSD family, a former student, a community member, or someone who hasn’t been directly involved with our schools, your voice is valuable.
Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on what our school District has been, what it is today, and what it can become in the years ahead. Through small group conversations and guided activities, we’ll explore both the strengths we’re proud of and the challenges we’ve faced—all with an eye toward the future. You won’t be asked to speak in front of a large group—this is about listening, sharing, and learning from one another in a comfortable setting.
To help make the experience enjoyable and accessible:
Light refreshments from Wild Honey Juicery will be available beginning at 3:30 PM on April 26
A meal from the Phoenix Center will be available beginning at 5:30 PM on April 29
Student performances will also be part of both evenings, and childcare is provided
You’re welcome to attend one or, ideally, both sessions—each will offer a valuable opportunity to be part of the process.
Feedback gathered during these events will help inform the District’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities, guiding decisions in the years ahead.
We hope you’ll consider joining us and being part of this shared experience.
