R-SEE (Richland – Small School Education Environment) is a unique program offered across all Richland School District buildings, designed to provide students with a more personalized, supportive learning environment.
At its core, R-SEE is a “school within a school,” giving students access to the same curriculum and opportunities as their peers, while learning in a setting that features:
Smaller group sizes
Fewer transitions throughout the day (especially at RCIS and RCHS)
Increased hands-on learning opportunities
Strong, consistent relationships with staff
This model is ideal for students who benefit from an in-person educational experience, but may find a traditional classroom setting overwhelming, distracting, or difficult to navigate.
Why R-SEE?
Every student learns differently. R-SEE was created to support those who thrive with:
More structure and consistency
Reduced environmental distractions
Additional time and support to build confidence and skills
By minimizing transitions and creating a calm, focused environment, students are able to engage more deeply in their learning and build positive academic habits.
A Growing Program
Launched last year, R-SEE has already shown strong success in supporting students across grade levels. Families and staff have seen increased engagement, improved focus, and a greater sense of belonging for participating students.
Supporting the Whole Student
R-SEE is more than just a different classroom—it’s a commitment to meeting students where they are and helping them grow. Students remain connected to their school community while benefiting from a setting designed to help them succeed both academically and socially.
